Piston features and tuning notes

This Kyosho IF347-126B product is supplied as a pair of RC shock pistons, intended for larger-diameter shock bodies where multi-hole pistons are used to manage oil flow. They are offered as simple replacement items or as tuning inserts to alter suspension damping characteristics.

Each set contains two pistons that provide multi-hole flow patterns affecting damping response and stroke sensation. Using different piston designs or hole counts changes how oil passes the piston and directly impacts bump and rebound behaviour.

Fitting is conventional: disassemble the shock, remove the shaft and spring, mount the piston on the shaft with correct orientation, then reassemble using the recommended oil and seals. Confirm piston clearance and shaft alignment in the shock body before final reassembly to avoid binding or seal damage.

When dialing in the suspension, match piston selection with oil weight and spring rates. Heavier oils or smaller piston holes slow damping, while lighter oils or larger holes increase response. Make measured adjustments and evaluate on your regular test surface.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The package includes two Kyosho IF347-126B multi-hole shock pistons, designed for larger shock assemblies.
Measure the internal bore and available piston stack height in your shock. Confirm those dimensions match the piston diameter and overall stack clearance before fitting to ensure correct operation.
Swapping to a different piston changes oil flow characteristics and therefore damping behaviour. Use piston changes alongside oil and spring adjustments to achieve targeted improvements in handling and stability.
