This aluminium rod end adapter is made for front lower arm applications where an extended linkage is required without adding the extra weight of steel parts. The lighter construction reduces rotating mass relative to steel rod ends and can affect steering precision and overall handling balance when used as part of an adjustment plan.
The adapter provides an additional 21mm of length compared with the stock item, allowing a wider track setup once fitted. That extension can be used to fine-tune front geometry, helping to address understeer or modify turn-in characteristics.
Installation follows the same process as swapping standard rod ends: remove the existing rod end on the front lower arm, screw in the adapter, check thread engagement and ball seating, and confirm alignment. Make incremental changes and evaluate handling on a safe testing surface.
