This aluminium front gear box bottom replaces the original plastic lower housing on Tamiya TA01, TA02 and DF01 chassis, serving as a precision spare for workshop tuning and competition prep. Acting as the lower gearbox half, it stabilises the spur and pinion mount and helps maintain consistent mesh during heavy use.
Installation is simple for experienced builders: remove the front cover screws, split the gearbox halves, transfer internal gears and bearings as required, then secure the aluminium lower using the standard hardware. Keep existing ball bearings and seals unless they need replacement, and verify mesh after refit to prevent premature gear damage.
Use this component when replacing a damaged lower case, staging a spare for race days, or when aiming for a more rigid foundation to refine gear backlash and drivetrain alignment on TA01/TA02/DF01 platforms. For RC use only.
