X26 front lower arm replacement

The Serpent 402171 lower front wishbone replaces the standard arm on X26 electric on-road models and is supplied as a direct service part. It locates the front hub, carries suspension loads, and plays a key part in camber change and roll behaviour during cornering.

Confirm fitment with X26 chassis references and matching Serpent components before installing. This part is designed to work with existing hub carriers, ball studs, and fasteners used at the X26 front end.

Installation tips: orient the wishbone so locating marks or ribs align with the chassis mounts, fully seat the ball stud in the socket, and tighten fasteners to the original engagement depth. After fitting, compare left and right geometry and recheck wheel alignment at ride height.

Setup impact: the lower wishbone affects camber gain, roll centre height, and initial turn-in sensitivity. Swapping arms will change front stiffness and response, particularly when combined with different anti-roll bar rates, damper settings, or toe adjustments.

It can change initial turn-in and feedback by modifying camber gain and roll centre; expect differences in front-end bite after swapping.
Possibly. Altering the lower arm geometry can be balanced by adjusting bar rates to tune roll stiffness and understeer/oversteer tendencies.
Fit the car, set a baseline damper and bar setup, then run a few laps to assess steering, mid-corner grip and tyre wear before further changes.
