Alter front/rear rotation with a 0.69 reduction

This front reduction gear set is made for ball differentials to encourage counter-drift behavior when paired with Yokomo drift hardware. Using a 41T driven gear and a 12T drive gear, the kit produces a 0.69 front-to-rear ratio that lowers front rotational speed and modifies yaw under slide.

Fitting the gear requires opening the front differential area and removing the original gear; basic diff servicing skills are needed to ensure correct reassembly. Drivers will notice a different control feel and should plan for gentler throttle and steering modulation compared with a 1:1 setup.

The upgrade is suited to RC drift rigs where changing the front/rear torque split is part of achieving consistent slides. It is a model-scale performance part, not intended for real vehicles.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Altering the gear ratio changes load patterns in the front diff; regular inspection and maintenance are recommended after fitting. Proper lubrication and correct shimming help reduce extra wear and keep the gearset reliable.
Choose a reduction when you want the front to rotate slower than the rear to promote counter-drift transitions and a more controllable slide-out. If you prefer symmetric response or quicker front reaction, a 1:1 setup may suit better.
