This graphite front shock tower is a replacement part for BD9-derived front assemblies and is intended to influence suspension characteristics during tuning. It gives a firm upper shock mount that changes the front-end flex profile when you alter setup settings.
When installed on compatible touring car chassis, the tower shifts stiffness to the front and can sharpen turn-in or alter mid-corner grip depending on springs and damper settings. Many tuners choose graphite to stiffen the front without adding significant weight.
Setup pointers: after fitting, try modest increases to front spring rate or slightly firmer damping to compensate for the added stiffness. Always confirm eyelet clearance and hole alignment before final tightening to avoid binding during suspension travel.
