BD-301FR3 mounting and tuning notes

The BD-301FR3 is a blue anodized aluminum front suspension arm mount intended for 1/10 touring car chassis BD7 and BD5. It replaces the rear side of the front suspension arm mount to adjust the arm pin spacing and front-end geometry without changing other suspension components.

The pitch between the left and right suspension arm pins measures 44.2mm, 0.7mm wider than the standard setting. That small increase affects track and scrub radius, so consider it when aiming for subtle front-end behaviour shifts for balance and cornering performance.

Installation notes: fit to the chassis using the original suspension arm mounting points and existing hardware, confirm correct alignment before final tightening, and test progressively - minor spacing changes can require complementary toe or camber adjustments.

How should I tune after fitting this mount?

Start with small incremental tests: fit the mount, run a few laps, then adjust toe or camber slightly as needed to rebalance front grip and turn-in.

Will this affect tyre wear or scrub?

By changing scrub radius and track width a little, you may notice differences in tyre scrub and wear patterns; monitor tyres and adjust setup if wear becomes uneven.

Is it compatible with aftermarket suspension arms?

Compatibility depends on the arm pivot pin layout. If the aftermarket arms use the same mounting spacing as the BD7 or BD5 stock arms, fitment should be straightforward; always check clearances first.
