The Sileighty originated through really very early road racers in Japan who owned Nissan 180SXs with damaged front side ends. Due to the fact Silvia's front side panels and lights were lighter and cheaper when compared with 180SX replacement components, many drifters used these components alternatively. As yet not known toward public before launch date, these end user improvements motivated a Japanese vehicle shop, youngsters Heart, to produce just a few so named "official" or "real" Nissan Sileighties.
