Unit description and cockpit controls

The Futaba 6EXAP_c8 package comprises a six-channel transmitter, an R136HP receiver and four S3003 servos, suitable for fixed-wing and rotary-wing models. Controls are arranged for quick access to flight features such as dual rates, flap modulation, retractable gear operation and an instructor trainer mode.

Presented as an R/C accessory intended for model aircraft, the following notes summarise the operator controls used during installation, setup and in-flight trimming, and identify which receiver channels commonly map to specific model functions.

• Dual-rate switch: Lets you switch between two servo throw settings for the aileron, elevator and rudder, with linked exponential adjustments if configured.
• Flap control dial (Channel 6): Analog control assigned to channel 6 for progressive flap settings on equipped models.
• Aileron/elevator and throttle/rudder sticks: Primary control sticks with trim levers for fine neutral tuning of surfaces and throttle.
• Throttle-cut button: Acts to stop the engine by interrupting throttle control where the model wiring supports this feature.
• Retractable gear switch (Channel 5): A switch mapped to channel 5 dedicated to gear extension and retraction.
• Trainer switch: Enables trainer operation when connected to a secondary transmitter with the appropriate trainer lead.
• Data input lever, MODE and SELECT keys: Controls for navigating menus and programming options visible on the LCD display.
• Charging jack and on-off switch: Battery charging connection for the supplied charger and the main power control for the transmitter.
