Type-U Six-Arm Serration Horn Details (FU1K27101)

This aftermarket serration servo horn fits Futaba S9152 and S9153 servos and is supplied in a set of three without screws. The six-arm Type-U layout presents multiple leverage options while the serration interface mates with the servo spline to reduce the chance of slip under load.

To install, align and seat the horn fully on the servo spline ensuring serrations engage, select the arm offering the required travel and leverage, then fasten with a suitable screw from your hardware kit or the servo package. Verify smooth movement across the steering arc before final tightening to avoid binding.

In service, the available arm positions let you tune steering sensitivity and mechanical advantage without adjusting servo endpoints. Remember that a longer arm increases travel and reduces torque, while a shorter arm does the opposite. The horn is intended as a direct mechanical tuning component for RC cars and like models.

The serration interface is designed to locate on the spline and resist slip, but suitability for high-load use depends on the specific vehicle forces and linkage design. Inspect for wear in demanding applications.
Regularly inspect the serrations and arm mounting points for rounding, cracking, or play. Replace if you notice any loss of engagement or deformation.
For very high torque or heavy models, evaluate performance under load and consider more heavy-duty options if you observe slipping or deformation; compatibility still depends on matching the spline.
