Futaba S5301 Designed for Precision and Power

The Futaba S5301 High Torque 1/4 Scale Servo combines strong output with reliable mechanics for modelers running bigger aircraft and fast surface models. It is intended for roles that require steady control under heavy loads.

Robust Motor and Geartrain

A 5-pole motor paired with metal gears gives the Futaba S5301 its high torque and durability. Dual ball bearings cut down on slop and maintain smooth travel, and the case resists dust and moisture to help protect the internal components.

Installation Hardware Included

Included is a Futaba J male connector and a large X-shaped horn already fitted for convenience. The box also contains four brass eyelets, four large black rectangular rubber grommets, and four 2 x 11mm mounting screws. Three spare horns are supplied: large round, large X, and small 6-arm to suit different setups.

Specifications

  • Speed: 0.29 sec/60° @ 4.8V, 0.23 sec/60° @ 6V
  • Torque: 233 oz-in @ 4.8V, 292 oz-in @ 6V (16.8 kg-cm @ 4.8V, 21.0 kg-cm @ 6V)
  • Dimensions: Length: 2.3" (59mm), Width: 1.1" (29mm)

A reliable option for modelers wanting a strong, precise servo for larger control surfaces or single-servo conversions.

Yes. Its torque and construction make it suitable for scale warbirds and larger trainer airframes where dependable servo output is required.
Use your transmitter trims to centre the servo, then adjust the horns and linkages so travel limits are within the recommended mechanical range and no binding occurs.
You can fit additional sealing around linkages and use corrosion-resistant hardware for marine or wet-field use, but the built-in resistance helps for general outdoor flying.
Under heavy continuous load the case may warm. Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid sustained stall conditions to preserve motor and gear life.
