Overview of the FZ70S back plate

The YS Engine YSG1044 back plate is supplied as a replacement rear cover for engines carrying the FZ70S designation, designed to maintain crankcase sealing and proper internal alignment during servicing.

Procedure for installation: if preferred, remove the engine from the model, drain any remaining fuel and clean the exterior to prevent contamination, take out retaining screws, check the mating surface and seals, fit fresh or transfer existing gaskets or O-rings, seat the back plate on the crankcase flange, and tighten fasteners evenly in a cross sequence to achieve a consistent seal. Avoid over-tightening which can warp the flange.
