Aluminium transmission housing for R1 applications

This precision aluminium transmission housing is intended for Gmade R1 platforms and Saw Back variants. As an aftermarket metal replacement, it helps to stiffen the chassis and maintain accurate drivetrain alignment for 1/10 rock buggies.

It is designed to enhance the functional mounting area around the gearbox rather than change appearance. The housing provides a stronger anchor for drivetrain parts; during installation pay attention to gearbox mount alignment and check bearing and screw positions to avoid misalignment.

Compatible Models

  • R1
  • Saw Back

Use this aluminium housing when you want a robust, scale-correct gearbox shell for R1-series 1/10 rock buggies; verify fitment and re-torque hardware after a short shakedown.

Confirm the gearbox mounting pattern on your chassis and check screw lengths and bearing positions to prevent interference with internal gears.
Light threadlocker on steel-fastening points is recommended to keep fasteners secure, but avoid excess which could complicate future servicing.
Bearings should seat in the same locations, but verify seating depth and alignment during dry assembly before final torqueing.
Anodising protects the aluminium surface and improves wear resistance, but it is optional depending on your aesthetic and corrosion protection needs.
