The GPM SCX30/0214TS 1144-steel ring and worm gear set is specified for 1/30 SCX30 brushed rock crawlers. With a 2T/14T high-speed worm profile and hardened surface, this metal upgrade replaces worn factory plastic or softer metal parts while retaining standard drivetrain geometry. Use the set for maintenance, gearbox service, or performance tuning.

Notes for fitment and running

• Fitment: Made to align with SCX30 drivetrain components; verify axle and gearbox positions before torqueing hardware.
• Gear mesh: Adjust backlash via shims or mount offsets until gears run smoothly; avoid excessive preload that can accelerate bearing wear.
• Lubrication: Apply a thin coating of metal-compatible grease to the teeth to limit initial wear and clearances; inspect after the first run.
• Break-in: Operate at low speed with light load for the first few minutes to allow teeth to conform.
• Inspection: After trail sessions, check for burrs, dirt ingress, or misalignment and remove foreign material from the teeth.
