This tie rod and drag link set replaces standard plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for scale RC use only. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the links limit steering flex and strengthen the connection between the servo output and steering knuckles. The compact kit is tailored to the space constraints of 1/30 rock crawlers while offering longer service life during regular trail use.
The set is aimed at improving steering stability and serviceability: threaded rod ends accept the included pivot balls so toe and steering throw can be adjusted easily. Remember to check alignment and servo centring after installation to keep neutral steering geometry.
Check that the supplied pivot balls and screw sizes match the stock items before you start. Ensure sufficient thread engagement to prevent stripping the small threads; tighten until secure but avoid excessive force. After fitting, re-check endplay and servo centring, and shorten rod ends if they cause binding.
Inspect joints periodically for thread wear and any play at the pivot balls. Apply a light lubricant to pivot points to lower noise and wear, steering clear of heavy greases that trap debris. If steering play develops, check thread length and replace any worn pivot balls or tiny screws with standard hobby parts.
