Aluminium BBS wheel and road tyre combo

This 12-piece wheel and tyre kit is an upgrade for the TRAXXAS TRX4 platform, marrying 1.9" 6061-T6 aluminium BBS-style rims with low-profile onroad tyres and 9mm alloy hexes to broaden track width and tweak handling. The hard-anodized rims present a six-spoke BBS style while the low-profile tyres are selected to give firmer response on packed trails and smoother rolling on pavement-style sections.

The 9mm alloy hex replaces the original hex to push the wheel hub outward and increase track width without changing suspension mounting points. That extra width alters cornering behaviour, often reducing body roll and yielding more direct steering on harder surfaces compared with deep-tread crawler tyres. All parts are intended for scale RC applications and match TRX4 mounting norms.

Assembly guidance: the set includes multiple small fasteners for wheel, hex and tyre assembly; hand-tighten supplied screws and use thread-lock where metal-to-metal fasteners are used. After installation check bearings, axle fit and pinion clearance to avoid binding. Refer to manuals 8269, 8270 and 8271 for part grouping and installation diagrams.
