Designed for the TRAXXAS TRX4 chassis, this kit is supplied as TRX4889/1719 and converts a crawler into an on-road rig by fitting radial on-road tyres to plastic wheels and adding aluminium hex adapters to broaden the stance.

The kit is supplied as a 24pcs package for on-road driving only and is unsuited to crawling. The aluminium hex adapters use a self-lock design to keep the hex seated under lateral forces when cornering. Components listed include hex adapters, adapter covers, hex socket screws, metal washers, screw shafts and the supplier reference manuals.

Fitting tips: mount the aluminium hex adapters to widen track, secure wheels with the included M4 screws and washers, and ensure the self-lock seats are engaged before running. For safer high-speed handling, the manufacturer advises 75-80mm dampers with relatively stiff springs to reduce body roll and rollover risk on paved surfaces.

Best used when converting a TRX4 from crawling tyres to road tyres; combine with firmer damping and anti-roll adjustments to keep handling stable at speed.
