Centre gearbox bottom guard

This aluminum center gear box bottom protector is a scale RC add-on created for the TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler and supplied as a 2pcs set. Constructed from lightweight aluminium, it gives a flat protective panel below the center gearbox to deter sand and pebbles and to spread shock loads away from the gearbox casing.

One stainless steel flat head screw 3x14 is included for fitting. The protector has alignment holes that line up with the upper main shaft screw locations so you can remove or fit the main shaft without taking the plate off, helping keep service times short when out on a run.

The coating is scratch-resistant to handle normal off-road abrasion; after runs rinse away trapped grit and inspect threads before the next outing. This guard is intended for scale off-road crawling protection and does not change gearing or drivetrain setup.

Will this work with stock TRX4 diff and gearbox parts?

Yes, it is designed to fit around the stock TRX4 center gearbox area and mounts without requiring modification to the factory gearbox components.

How does the plate help on sandy trails?

The flat plate reduces the chance of sand and small stones reaching the gearbox internals and spreads small impacts, reducing direct loading on the gearbox housing.

Is additional hardware needed to install?

The package includes one 3x14 stainless steel flat head screw; remaining factory screws are used as required for a complete fitment.
