The Hasegawa 1/72 B13 X-29 kit captures the unusual profile of the forward-swept X-29. Developed as an experimental testbed in the 1980s, the original aircraft explored new aerodynamics. The moulded parts in this kit reflect the aircrafts distinctive wing geometry for an authentic small-scale replica.
The X-29 used composite construction and digital flight control systems to manage its unstable configuration. Only two prototypes were produced, but they were influential in testing new technologies. This model reproduces the aircrafts slim fuselage and sweeping wing detail for display modelling.
Expect a moderately challenging assembly with fine polystyrene components that require glue and paint. The kit rewards careful preparation, alignment and finishing, resulting in a faithful 1/72 scale model suitable for display with other cold-war era experimental aircraft.
