The 1968 Marathon De la Route , a gruelling 84-hour event authorized by the FIA, occured at Nuburgring circuit in Germany on August 21 1968. The Track was 22.8km very long, and included a continuously uneven area and corners of numerous faculties. Mazda delivered a team two Cosmo Sport (export model title:110S) because of this tough competition, to show the powerful, durability and reliability of these brand new rotary engine.
