This HG Wing Stay Set2 is an RC-scale wing mounting accessory designed to make removal and refit of rear wings quicker on compatible Kyosho vehicles. It accepts standard 4mm body pins for secure retention and is a practical alternative where SCW016B was originally used.

Installed on the Tomahawk 85WC chassis the stay provides a stable connection between aftermarket wings and the body shell. It pairs with Kyosho wings like OT252 and SC224 when fitted to the Tomahawk, allowing rapid swaps while testing different profiles or settings.

From a tuning perspective the wing stay is purely a chassis-mounted interface: it does not change wing geometry on its own but lets you swap wings quickly so you can compare profiles and angles with minimal downtime. Always check hole alignment in the body and ensure the 4mm body pins are fully seated after each change.

No. The stay is a mounting interface and does not alter the wing's built-in geometry. It simply makes removal and refit faster so you can test different wings or angles efficiently.

Can I swap wings between sessions without changing hardware?

Yes. When used on the Tomahawk 85WC the stay lets you swap compatible wings such as OT252 and SC224 without modifying wing hardware, saving setup time.

Is special tooling required to fit SCW042?

No special tools are required beyond what you would normally use to align the body and insert 4mm body pins; standard hobby tools suffice for fitting.
