The Bell P-39 Airacobra is an important WWII fighter first flown in April 1939 and built by Bell Aircraft Corporation. It is notable for housing an Allison engine behind the cockpit, driving the propeller via a shaft beneath the pilot, and mounting a 37 mm T9 cannon that fires through the propeller hub.
This Hobby Boss 1:72 scale kit recreates the P-39 N Airacobra's key design elements in plastic. With 9,584 aircraft produced and many delivered to the Soviet Union under lend-lease, the P-39 remains a subject of interest for historic aircraft modellers and collectors.
