Replica of the Me163 Rocket Fighter

The Hobby Boss HB-80238 1/72 scale kit depicts the German Me163 Komet, notable for its rocket propulsion and unusual role as a point defence interceptor. Developed from Project X in 1937 by Dr Alexander Lippisch, the Me163 evolved into the Me163 B by 1943 and entered production in July 1944, with 279 units delivered to the Luftwaffe despite inherent limits in fuel capacity and operational range.
