The Focke-Wulf Fw190 earned status as an adaptable, high-performance single-engine fighter in World War II. More than 20,000 examples were produced, and around 6,000 served in fighter-bomber roles. The A-6 variant was developed to meet the demand for heavier armament against US heavy bomber formations, adopting a larger, lighter wing layout. Production of the A-6 ran from May 1943 to March 1944 with about 1,055 units manufactured.
The Hobby Boss 80245 kit reproduces the A-6 in 1:72 scale, with particular focus on the modified wing and external detail. Moulded features are designed to reflect the variant's structural changes, so careful fitting and light putty work will enhance panel continuity and finish quality.
Painted and finished, the model becomes a compact representation of the A-6's role in mid war operations. It provides a historically grounded display subject that complements mixed-era collections and themed exhibits.
