Hobby Boss made 1/48 80336 MiG-17PF Fresco D (HB-80336) Fighter Aircrafts Military Series assembly kit

  • The Soviet MiG-17 fighter had been made to become more stable than its predecessor, The MiG-15 was in fact unstable at higher rate and too tight a change might cause an uncontrolled snap roll and spin. To overcome this issue, the fuselage was lengthened, small 'fences' were installed about the top aspects of the wing to regulate airflow, plus the wings swept straight back 45 degrees. The extra space inside fuselage enabled the internal design and systems become revised, and a far more angular end was added. These customizations offered the aircraft great safety, required for a successful tools platform. The MiG-17 joined up with frontline solution in February, 1953. The Fresco-A maintained the first VK-1 turbojet concerning the MiG-15. A VK -1F engine with afterburner was indeed then fitted to the modern Fresco-C, or MiG -17F . A fixed-scan radar was indeed put in the MiG-17PF, or Fresco-D. The MiG-17PFU, Fresco-E, became the Soviet Union's very first interceptor featuring its cannon deleted and four air-to-air missiles added.
