The Grumman A-6 Intruder have been designed because the replacement from the A-1 Skyraider.It's 1st all-weather assault aircraft linked to the united states of america Navy.The aircraft were called as the A2F before 1962 and got the latest name,the A-6 Intruder,in service.The outstanding all-weather ability quickly made the A-6 the main hit force of Navy and Marines,and dedicated to the Vietnam War.
Begin at 1979,all from the A-6E Intruders were armed with all the current AN/ASS-33 detection and ranging set,which part of the TRAM system.They were situated inside a small turret in radome.The A-6E TRAM took part in a lot of the army actions about the Navy in last century.All of Intruders were changed by the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in 1997.
