The Hobby Boss HB-84817 kit recreates the USN LCM 3 used extensively in amphibious operations during World War II. This 1/48 scale release emphasises correct hull proportions and the distinctive fittings that characterise the landing craft.

Designed originally to transport heavier vehicles, the LCM 3 featured a longer hull and greater buoyancy, capable of moving up to 30 tons or about 60 personnel.
