The Bell AH-1 Cobra marked a new era in attack helicopter capabilities. With its tandem two-seat cockpit and twin-blade main rotor, the Cobra first flew on September 7, 1965 and entered service in June 1967 as the "HueyCobra." Its deployment provided concentrated fire support and close escort duties for transport squadrons.
The Hobby Boss kit presents the Cobra's streamlined fuselage and stub wings in well-molded plastic parts. Intended for both display and study, the kit reproduces the aircrafts essential silhouette and basic external detail for a convincing small-scale model.
Construction requires precise assembly and painting to show panel lines and cockpit shape. Finished carefully, this model becomes a tidy display piece demonstrating mid century helicopter design and combat roles.
