The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, often called the "Huey", is a multipurpose military helicopter, originated from 1955 United States Army studies with all the Bell Model 204. The initial designation of HU-1 (helicopter power) led to its nickname, Huey. It had been first employed by the armed forces in 1959 and went into tri-service production in 1962 considering that the UH-1.
