The Hobbywing Platinum 25A V4 and 40A V4 ESCs, reference 30204200, provide accurate speed management for radio-controlled aircraft. Powered by a 32-bit 72MHz MCU and a tuned control algorithm, these ESCs aim to maintain smooth motor output under varying loads.
Each ESC features a switch-mode BEC with adjustable output to accommodate different servos. The Platinum 25A V4 offers 6V or 7.4V settings, while the 40A V4 spans 5V to 8V adjustable in 0.1V steps. This lets you fine tune servo voltage across a range of builds.
Driving Efficiency Optimization (DEO) enhances throttle response and can contribute to longer flight duration and reduced ESC temperatures. The result is steadier throttle feel and improved thermal behaviour.
The ESC supports multiple braking modes: Reverse Brake, Normal Brake, Proportional Brake, and Brake Disabled. Reverse Brake is useful for reducing the rollout distance of fixed-wing models after landing.
To help lengthen component life, the ESC includes protections such as thermal protection for the ESC and capacitors, overload protection, throttle signal fail-safe, and low voltage cutoff to protect the battery.
