Cyclone link upgrade with titanium studs

The 3Racing CY-25 comprises six titanium ball studs, each with a 4.3mm head and 10mm threaded length, specifically aimed at Hot Bodies Cyclone Sport and Racing versions in 1/10 scale. These studs are RC hardware intended to replace factory steel or alloy studs where improved surface longevity and reduced galling are desired.

Function and benefits: studs provide the anchoring pivot for ballcups on steering and suspension assemblies. Titanium studs can reduce wear at the joint and help keep steering input crisper by cutting down on slop at contact points, a useful improvement for track and club driving.

Fitting advice: install with the correct hex driver and avoid excessive torque to protect thread integrity, verify engagement depth and confirm ballcup seating after a short break-in. Clean all mating surfaces and inspect bearings prior to installation; only use light threadlocker if specified by your model manual. These studs are designed for compatible models and must be checked against your current stud dimensions.

Tuning note: change corresponding link points together to preserve geometry. If steering resistance increases, inspect for binding or reduced bearing clearance and alter turnbuckle length or add shims as needed. These studs are a precise hardware upgrade to support consistent linkage performance rather than a major setup change.

Each set contains six titanium studs, 4.3mm head diameter with 10mm thread length, as listed for CY-25.
Inspect existing ballcups for wear; replace them if they show damage to ensure correct seating and avoid premature contact wear.
A proper hex driver sized for the stud flats and a torque-aware technique are recommended; avoid impact drivers or excessive force.
