Bullet 3.0 adjustable links

This 6 piece adjustable tie rod kit is built for HPI Bullet 3.0 MT and ST and carries the model number BMT160A/ST. It uses spring steel rod bodies with alloy end fittings and 4mm anti cross-thread connections to provide a durable, adjustable link option for steering and minor suspension adjustments.

Two extendable ranges are provided for the different link positions: 73-80mm and 78-85mm. Length is set via threaded alloy ends that are designed to reduce the chance of cross-threading at the 4mm junctions.

To fit, remove the existing tie rods, attach the alloy ends to the steering knuckles and hub carriers as applicable, then set the links to the required length and check movement across full suspension travel and steering lock to avoid binding.

These tie rods serve as a practical hop-up for linkage geometry and maintenance replacements; they do not alter servo, ESC, motor, or gearbox hardware but help fine-tune steering behaviour.

Specifications

  • Item: Adjustable tie rod set, 6 pcs
  • Material: Spring steel rods with alloy ends
  • Model Number: BMT160A/ST
  • Compatibility: HPI Bullet 3.0 MT and ST

Ideal when you want a serviceable, adjustable steering link to replace tired rods or to tweak toe and handling on HPI Bullet 3.0 MT and ST trucks.

Basic hand tools and a pair of pliers or a small spanner for the alloy ends are sufficient; use a thread locker sparingly if desired after alignment.
Yes, the kit is supplied as a 6pc set covering both front and rear link positions with the two specified length ranges.
Spring steel combined with alloy ends provides a good balance of strength and flexibility for typical off-road and bash use; life expectancy depends on impacts and maintenance.
They are a linkage change only; any change to servo load will be minimal unless you significantly alter geometry or add steering stops that increase load at extremes.
