Delrin spacer collars for BJ055

These Delrin spacer collars are an aftermarket upgrade intended for the HPI Racing BAJA BJ055 chassis. Supplied as a pack of 4pcs, they serve as axle spacers to retain correct wheel spacing and cut down lateral movement on the BJ055 running gear.

Delrin provides a low-friction bearing surface and holds shape better than softer polymers under clamping loads. Fitted between bearings, hexes or gear faces, the collars stabilise axle geometry while the model is cornering or traversing rough terrain.

Fitting is basic for anyone used to wheel and axle servicing: remove wheel and hex, slide the collar to the required position on the axle or hub, then reassemble and confirm endplay. Use standard RC hand tools and take care not to over-tighten fasteners that could compress adjoining components.

Tuning advice: collars alter effective axle width so small thickness changes will affect camber and toe as the vehicle loads. Fit collars first when eliminating slack, then fine-tune with shims or hub adjustments and check wheel runout. Delrin reduces wear risk but does not substitute for correct bearings and alignment checks.
