Overview and Purpose

A scale engine heatsink made to fit HPI Savage 25 installations. The 13-fin layout enlarges the cooling surface to help draw heat away from nitro engine heads during demanding off-road use.

In practice the heatsink modifies thermal behaviour by adding mass and extra fin exposure, which can reduce short-term temperature spikes and produce a steadier rise under load. That can be helpful when dialing needle settings or assessing body airflow effects on cooling.

Installation requires basic engine knowledge: remove the stock head, confirm head-to-stack clearance and carburettor position, then install the heatsink on the head. Check for any contact with the header or adjacent parts and ensure a solid seat before use. Always test at low engine speed after fitting to confirm safe clearances.
