Alloy clutch shoe suited to Savage X

This alloy clutch shoe is offered as a replacement part for HPI Savage and Savage X clutch setups. It fits into the standard shoe position and replaces damaged or worn shoes on 1/8 scale nitro machines.

Fitting the shoe requires basic disassembly of the clutch, inspection of the clutch bell and springs, and proper seating of the shoe on its pivot. Perform a visual fit check before completing reassembly, confirm free movement, and avoid overtightening retention hardware to prevent binding.

Material choice plays a role in engagement feel and heat transfer during use. An alloy shoe will show different wear and thermal properties than composite alternatives, so combine it with the correct springs and validate engagement with short, monitored runs while checking for uneven wear or excessive heat.
