The Short Stirling Mk.I was the first British four-engine heavy bomber to see frontline service, recognised for its high wing and robust metal construction. It joined RAF Bomber Command in 1940 and, although later replaced by the Halifax and Lancaster, it could transport over 6,000 kg of bombs and carried eight 7.7 mm machine guns for defence.
This Italeri 1335S 1/72 kit features upgraded moulds and a photo-etched fret to enhance small details. The set includes a colour instruction leaflet and decals for six markings, allowing modellers to recreate different operational variants. It is a great choice for enthusiasts looking for a compact but accurate WWII bomber project.
