The Italeri 1374S kit recreates two classic World War I fighters: the British S.E.5a and the German Albatros D.III. These machines were central to dogfights over the Western Front during 1917. The Albatros D.III, famously flown by Manfred von Richthofen or the "Red Baron", could reach about 175 km/h and was armed with twin Spandau machine guns. The S.E.5a supported Royal Flying Corps pilots with a Vickers and a Lewis gun and was noted for its strong performance in combat roles.
