The Harrier GR.3 became a key jump jet thanks to vertical/short takeoff and landing capabilities introduced by Hawker Siddeley in the 1960s. The GR.3 featured avionics improvements including a nose laser tracker and ECM gear, and saw operational service during the 1982 Falklands operations.
This Italeri 1/72 kit renders the GR.3's external profile and weapon fittings with attention to scale. In service the aircraft carried two 30 mm guns and a selection of rockets and guided bombs; the model supports representing those configurations.
Once built, the kit makes a strong display model. The included decal sheet offers six marking options so builders can choose period-correct liveries or create a personalised finish.
