The Kfir C.2, developed by Israel Aircraft Industries, was built on the Mirage III/5 concept with further enhancements. It used the General Electric J79 turbojet and upgraded avionics to improve performance over the IAI Nesher. Entering service in 1975, it saw frontline fighter duty and later strike tasks as newer aircraft became available.
Italeri's 1/72 kit recreates the Kfir C.2 profile for scale modelling. The set supplies a decal sheet with four version choices so builders can pick historic schemes that suit their display.
To get the most from this Italeri kit prepare parts by removing flash and test-fitting sections before gluing. Use fine sanding and careful masking for crisp paint edges. The completed model presents well on its own or as part of a diorama.
