The Italeri 1801S - 1/144 ATR 42-500 reproduces the compact regional turboprop that became common on short-haul routes. Initially developed in the mid 1980s, the ATR 42 is praised for its twin turboprop efficiency and short-field capability. This issue represents the ATR-500 variant from the 1990s with enhanced engines and six blade propellers. The platform also spawned a maritime patrol variant, the ATR 42 MP "Surveyor", used by several agencies.
