The Italeri 2710S model renders the Macchi MB 326K Impala in 1/48 scale, reflecting the aircraft's service history from a two-seat trainer to a single-seat ground attack role. Developed in the 1950s, the MB 326K was adapted with a stronger turbojet enabling it to carry more than 1800 kg of weapons, including bombs and rocket launchers.

The Impala variant, licence-built by Atlas Aircraft Corporation in South Africa, broadened the aircraft's global footprint and makes this kit a useful piece for collectors of Cold War era military types.
