The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, commonly called the Tiger I, is noted for its heavy armour and the high velocity KwK 36 L/56 88 mm gun. Its presence on the battlefield changed tactical considerations thanks to its ability to engage targets at long range with potent penetration.
Initially introduced in September 1942 at the Leningrad sector, Tiger I units saw extended action across the Eastern Front and in North Africa during the Tunisia campaign. This Italeri 1/35 kit captures the early production configuration for model makers who favour historical accuracy.
