Supplied as a set of two, these steel gear box joints are intended for RC Tamiya 4WD models and replace the original coupling points in the gearbox. They are provided to improve drivetrain life where the factory plastic parts may show wear.
Use case: fit these when you find looseness or wear during routine gearbox checks, or as a preventative upgrade for regular trail or off-road running. The steel construction increases service life but retains the original fitment to preserve handling characteristics.
Basic installation steps: remove the gearbox cover and the existing coupler, insert the steel joint into the original seating, confirm gear mesh and clearance, and then reassemble. After fitment, check drivetrain rotation and adjust mesh as necessary. These parts are intended for repairs and tuning and do not change suspension or motor mount geometry.
