Drift steering block - aluminium

The Yokomo YOKSD415S12 is an RC-scale aluminium front steering block intended for drifting applications using a king pin steering layout. The unit's fixed 12 degree offset shifts the steering pivot relative to the wheel hub to increase steering angle and stabilise steering behaviour for controlled slides.

This component is intended as a direct replacement where chassis accept king pin mounting plates and steering block dimensions that follow Yokomo drift packages. Confirm your chassis' mounting hole centres, king pin diameter and linkage clearances before fitting.

Installation notes: remove the old block and examine king pin and bearing seats, fit the new block with the correct 12 degree orientation, secure fasteners using the correct hex driver and respect torque recommendations from your chassis manufacturer, then confirm free hub rotation and steering clearance.

Tuning role: the 12 degree pivot offset modifies steering geometry so you can fine tune steering response and maximum angle. Adjust toe settings and steering link lengths incrementally while testing to reach the desired handling balance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Start with small toe adjustments and incrementally shorten or lengthen steering links to compensate for the new pivot point. Record each change and test consistently so you can judge the effect on turn-in and steering angle.
The offset tends to increase achievable steering angle, but chassis geometry, servo travel and link geometry also limit final angle. Verify servo throw and linkage clearance when seeking maximum lock.
Most installations reuse existing king pins and screws if dimensions match. If mounting holes or pin diameters differ, you may need replacement hardware sized to your chassis specifications; never force mismatched parts.
Test on a smooth, low-risk surface and run short sessions while watching steering response and hub clearance. Make one setup change at a time so you can isolate how each adjustment affects handling.
