Race Platform Optimised for Handling and Serviceability

The LAZER ZX6.6 refocuses the ZX6 platform toward easier setup and predictable behaviour on mixed surfaces. Its component layout and service-oriented design make it straightforward to adjust between events.

Centre Motor and Drive Layout

The centre midship motor paired with a centre shaft 4WD drivetrain produces a well-balanced chassis that resists sudden weight shifts. The A7075-T6 Duralumin main plate removes unnecessary mass while side plates add longitudinal rigidity to stabilise pitch movements.

Responsive Double Wishbone Setup

Independent double wishbones with turnbuckle uppers give quick adjustment options for camber and toe. Longer shock travel from gullwing rear arms increases compliance, allowing the car to track bumps and curbs without unsettling the chassis.

Precision Steering and Robust Drivetrain

Universal swing shafts at both ends ensure smooth torque flow and the ball differential with tungsten carbide balls delivers consistent durability. The aluminium steering crank provides a clean steering response and hex clamp hubs secure wheel fitment under race loads.

Yes, the chassis meets common club race expectations. You will need to install your choice of motor, ESC, radio and battery to comply with class rules.
Routine wear parts like suspension pins, diff balls and drive cups are service items and can be replaced from Kyosho spares to keep the car race-ready.
Adjusting roll centre, front rebound and diff preload are the main ways to tune balance. Softer rear springs or more diff preload tends to reduce oversteer, while the inverse increases rotation.
The layout accepts common shorty and saddle packs used in 1/10 EP classes; check your preferred electronics dimensions to ensure ideal weight placement.
Wipe down after wet runs, avoid salt exposure, and use light corrosion inhibitors on exposed fasteners to maintain the A7075-T6 finish.
