Kyosho's Ultima returns in the Kyosho 30625 package, blending an established silhouette with parts aimed at today's tracks. The model that made waves in the late '80s has been reworked to meet modern durability and tuning expectations without losing its classic look.
The 1/10 Ultima EP 2WD retains the original monocoque approach but now uses aircraft-grade A6061T6 aluminium for increased stiffness. That platform helps keep weight low while improving predictability through corners.
A double wishbone suspension layout with high-capacity oil shocks and a strong shock tower allows focused tuning for different surfaces. Steering upgrades include an aluminium link and metal bushings for precise input translation at speed.
To handle modern power, Kyosho fitted a slipper clutch and switched to a 48-pitch gear module to reduce loss and improve gearbox longevity. A motor guard is included to help prevent damage from debris and impacts.
With its period aesthetics and practical enhancements, the Ultima EP 2WD is a flexible platform for club racing, weekend bashing and period-correct builds.
