The Inferno GT platform from Kyosho has been a reliable choice for 1/8 scale touring car fans, and the GT2 version sharpens its focus on on-road dynamics. The redesign keeps core chassis strengths from the Inferno MP7.5 buggy while stretching dimensions to better reflect scale proportions and boost stability at speed.
Under the bonnet the GXR28SG engine delivers the performance expected from a serious 1/8 GP machine. Mated to a tuned chassis, the result is a balanced package ready for track use. The car also includes dual disk brakes for consistent stopping, precision turnbuckle upper arms and tie rods for alignment changes, and blue anodised hubs and shock caps for a factory-finished look.
Key improvements versus the earlier GT include a 35mm wheelbase increase for improved high speed composure. The revamped 2-speed gearbox pushes top speed potential, a 150cc fuel tank extends run time, and a reduced 34mm flywheel sharpens throttle feel. Front and rear torque rods are fitted to stabilise handling under load.
This Kyosho Inferno GT2 arrives as a Readyset, pre-assembled with a painted McLaren F1 GTR body and decals fitted. Supplied accessories include a PERFEX KT6 controller, a plug heater and a fuel bottle. Remember that batteries for the radio and heater are sold separately.
For track-focused drivers and scale model fans, the Kyosho Inferno GT2 pairs practical upgrades with strong factory support to be a rewarding platform to tune and race.
