Race-Ready Chassis Improvements on the V-ONE R4 Evo.2

The V-ONE R4 has long been a contender in nitro touring classes thanks to its balanced geometry and predictable handling. The Evo.2 introduces focused upgrades that make the platform more capable with contemporary high-output engines while remaining straightforward to set up.

Stiffness and Low Centre of Gravity

Core changes include a redesigned main chassis and upper deck to improve rigidity and increase mechanical grip independent of tyre choice. The model keeps a low centre of gravity and uses shorter oil shocks to tighten cornering and reduce body roll at higher speeds.

Drive and Braking Refinements

Practical engineering tweaks deliver better response on track. An updated brake rotor improves low-speed modulation, front universal swing shafts smooth power delivery, and the 3D racing clutch sharpens both throttle response and top-end acceleration.

Customisation and Electronics Safety

The Evo.2 accepts a wide selection of optional parts for personalising springs, diffs and gearing to match your driving style. A compact radio box keeps electronics protected from fuel and light impacts during races.

The Kyosho V-ONE R4 Evo.2 is a flexible base for racers who want a responsive nitro touring car that takes setup changes well.

The chassis is intended for .12 to .15 class engines. Those sizes give a good balance of power and weight for club and regional competition.
Basic RC assembly tools like hex drivers, screwdrivers and thread lock are needed. A shock pump and calipers help with accurate setup but are not mandatory to start.
Many optional parts are cross compatible, though some redesigned chassis components may require Evo.2 specific parts for best fit and performance.
After running, inspect drive joints, clutch condition, and radio box seals. Clean the chassis of dust and fuel residue and recheck gear mesh before the next session.
