Improve Drivetrain Setup with Kyosho FA555-32

Serious RC tuners can use the Kyosho FA555-32 pinion gear to tweak driveline behaviour. The 32-tooth pinion is intended for 1/10 scale touring cars and provides a reliable option when testing different gearing choices on varied surfaces.

Model Fitment and Use

The Kyosho FA555-32 is suitable for cars that share the same pinion mount, including many in the Fazer Mk2 range when compatible. Its 32 teeth deliver a measured change to the gear ratio that will influence both low end punch and top speed, based on your spur and motor combination. It is a straightforward swap for experimenting with setup balance.

Mounting and Maintenance

During installation of the Kyosho FA555-32 pinion gear, make sure gear mesh is set correctly to avoid tooth damage or undue wear. Correct alignment reduces stress on both pinion and spur and keeps driveline noise to a minimum. Periodic inspections after running will catch issues early.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Not always. You can change the pinion alone to alter ratio, but pairing a different spur will give a wider tuning range. Check mesh and clearances when swapping either gear.
A small hex driver for set screws, feeler or thin paper for mesh setup, and a motor temperature gun for tuning sessions are handy tools to have on pit day.
Look for rounded tooth edges, burrs, or uneven contact patterns on the spur. Any unusual vibration or grinding sound after a few runs is a sign to inspect the pinion.
