Designed for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD cars, this alloy pinion set provides four tooth-count options commonly used in Mini-Z AWD motor modules. The 15T, 17T, 19T and 21T choices allow quick ratio adjustments without changing the spur gear or motor.
Why aluminium: the pinions are produced from aluminium alloy to reduce wear compared with thin stamped steel while keeping inertial weight low for small models. They are intended as both service replacements and tuning parts to alter vehicle acceleration and top speed balance.
How to fit: remove the motor from the mount, loosen the current pinion, slide on the selected tooth-count pinion checking axial position and mesh with the spur, fasten with the provided screws, and check endplay while turning the drivetrain slowly. Use precision hex drivers and moderate torque to protect motor shaft threads and ensure a clean mesh before use.
Gearing guidance: lower tooth numbers like 15T favour higher top speed with reduced pull from standstill, while 21T improves low-speed torque and acceleration but may reduce peak velocity; pick based on track layout and battery/motor characteristics.
